I recently read a helpful quote from Abraham-Hicks, which definitely bears repeating and adding to our repertoire of techniques for Allowing our Well-Being to flow.  It’s a topic I cover in “How to Allow,” but it’s a good reminder for me too.  I love to think about why certain processes work as compared to others.  It helps me to know how to focus my energy and alerts me to when my vibration is slightly “off.”  And, I’ve already noticed myself thinking about certain subjects differently as I’ve been writing this Post.  As Abraham says wisely:

When you start adding the “whys” to what you want, then you really begin to vibrate in concert with that which you are, and when you begin to vibrate in concert with that which you are, oceans part and mountains move, and people come out of the woodwork to accommodate you.

There’s a very good reason for this. And, I’m all in favor of anything that’s going to make oceans part, mountains move, and people come out of the woodwork for me!

When we think about our desires, especially the things that we really, really want, our vibration is not necessarily very pure or a “spot on” match to our desires.  Yes, we’re definitely on the right track when we focus on what we want to create in our lives rather than the fact that our life is lacking in some way, but sometimes it takes a little boost to make focusing on our desires more effective.

This boost, which really works, is to spend some time thinking about why you really want that particular desire in your life.  We only want to create things because we think that in having them we will feel better in some way.  So, for that burning desire, how do you think it will make you feel?  Why do you want it?

Let’s take a scenario which most of us can relate to and try to generate a “Why” list.  Imagine, which is probably not difficult for most people, that you’d like to have a more steady and reliable cash flow in your life, more financial abundance.  Hey, you’d just like to have a larger bank account.  But why, really?  We’ve all heard that money doesn’t buy happiness.  And, we now know that it isn’t the root of all evil either.  And thankfully, by learning about the Law of Attraction, we also have learned that having money, lots of money, doesn’t deprive anyone else of anything.  The Universe merely expands to create more abundance for you and your abundance benefits the whole. So, we’ve removed a lot of erroneous beliefs that could interfere with the purity of our vibration when it comes to money.  But, why do you really want a bigger bank account?

By having more financial abundance, most of us might feel more freedom to do the things that we want without regard to cost, more security, freedom from worry about paying bills, more time to do the things we enjoy, as we could delegate some of the things we don’t love doing to others who would be happy to have the work.  We might feel more powerful, more successful, and more confident, as we are able to do and buy more of the things we need and want.  All of these results are worthwhile and could certainly lead to more happiness in our lives.

So, when we visualize having more money in our lives, rather than focusing on our lack, which is so easy to fall into especially when it comes to money, we’d want to also think about the “whys,” what we think having more money will add to our lives.  I believe that financial abundance, of all of the things we might desire, probably benefits the most from adding why we want it to our focus on attracting more dollars.  Money, in particular, is something that is always “right in your face,” everyday, and if you don’t have enough of it, it can be hard to imagine how it would feel to be truly wealthy and free of financial worries.  Other topics aren’t quite so “red hot” for most of us, and it’s easier to focus on those desires more purely, without falling into the trap of thinking about the fact that we don’t yet have them.

But every desire, whether it’s for a better relationship, improved friendships, a healthier body, a more beautiful home, can all benefit from thinking about why you want them in your life. I suggest a Daily Process in “How to Allow” for getting to the same vibration as your desires and it would be worthwhile when doing that process to throw in the “whys.”  That way your vibration, what you’re sending out to attract that burning desire, is much more likely to be a vibrational match to that desire and to Allow it into your life.  And, to Allow it into your life that much more quickly.

So, why do you want what you want?

I’d love to hear from you, especially with any success stories resulting from focusing on why you want what you want in your life.
