To describe the state of our world, and particularly the US, as uncertain, I would consider an understatement. The basic pillars that create a sense of security, our politics, our economy, and our sovereignty, are in a state of flux. It often feels as if anything could happen, and, in many cases, the things that we considered solid and permanent have transformed before our eyes. That sense of impermanence and unpredictability can be felt. So let’s say the description of our world as in a state of uncertainty is an accurate story, regardless of how any of us may feel about the ongoing developments.

As I was “feeling” that uncertainty and getting caught up in a somewhat of a loop of thoughts, mostly reflecting a fairly negative attitude, I stumbled upon a great quotation that reminded me of many things I do know for sure, and that are not uncertain.

Each and every component that makes up your life experience is drawn to you by the powerful Law of Attraction’s response to the thoughts you think and the story you tell about your life. Your money and financial assets, your body’s state of wellness, clarity, flexibility, size, and shape; your work environment, how you are treated, work satisfaction, and rewards—indeed, the very happiness of your life experience in general—is all happening because of the story you tell. Abraham-Hicks
I do know for sure that the story we tell about ourselves, whether it is in our own heads or the one we tell to the people we meet, our friends and family, or to anyone who cares to listen, is all-important.
That story is going out on our behalf, creating and attracting the elements and circumstances that match it. That story, and how we feel about it, constitutes our emotional state, where we are on the emotional scale, and our vibration. That story is creating our default vibration and dictates what we are allowing into our lives.
I have known for a very long time that we create our own realities with our thoughts, and I have made a promise to myself to do my best to make my vibration my top priority. There is nothing selfish about that. It’s the best thing I can do for myself and the people I care about. It also happens to be the best thing we can do for other people, even those outside of our orbit.
It’s clear to me that an ongoing dialogue in my head of “wth, now what, I can’t believe this, they said what?, we’re doing what?, what’s next?” is not an enchanting story. And, I have thought all of those thoughts very recently. I have cleaned up my language in that example. And, I’m fairly certain that I’m not alone.
Most people I know want to be informed, care about our country and our neighbors, and feel we should do something to contribute to more peace and a sense that we are all in this together. Yet, effective actions to make that contribution are not so obvious now.
And, most people I know are deliberately limiting themselves to how much time they spend digesting the “news” and talking about the uncertain things that are disturbing to them. We know that a constant focus on “current events” cannot help us function as good neighbors, good parents, partners, or employees, or create good things that benefit others.
When creating a story that does not feel delusional or untrue about ourselves right now, we need to decide how we will focus. We may often feel very, very angry. That’s not an unreasonable response, and it’s worth acknowledging and then looking at how we can move out of a state of anger. We can have constructive discussions with others that are solution-oriented. We can take actions to do good deeds for people who need help, support our neighbors, friends, families, and co-workers. We can make sure we relax more, rest more, and include things we actually enjoy in our day.
When we are considering what story we would prefer to tell, there are many, many things for most of us that have nothing to do with the current political climate. We have so many things we can appreciate, despite the uncertainty in our world and our circumstances at this moment.

I am very close to releasing my new book, Next-Level Manifesting —When Miracles Become the New Normal; it is actually written. I’m getting ready to launch it into the world. I have loved writing it, I’m excited about it, and I know it offers great guidance for living a happy life regardless of our current circumstances. It focuses on our new, enhanced energetic environment and the faster-moving energy that is available to us. And, it focuses on how we can even use apparent challenges to our advantage. So, it’s not lost on me that allowing myself to go into a loop of discouraging thoughts without an effort to acknowledge and improve them is not helping me or anyone else. I can remain aware and engaged, but also make a decision that I expect all of this to lead to a change for the better in our world. I can use my perceived challenges to my advantage.
We need to remind ourselves that a key component of maintaining a good vibration is expecting things to work out for us. In my case, focusing on my highest excitement right now, releasing Next-Level Manifesting, and how good it will feel to offer this information to help lots of people, is the best use of my time and energy. I feel so much better after reminding myself of my commitment to making my vibration my top priority. That focus reflects a belief that I am creating a better future for myself and others.
Take some time right now to think about the things in your life that you love, the people, your home, the work you do, the creative things you do, your pets, even the smallest things that bring you joy. Think of what might be your highest excitement in the moment and follow that thought. Create your story from all of those elements, begin operating with a much higher vibration, and thereby allow more things to appreciate into your life.
That vibration and state of appreciation make you powerful. It is only then that you can be one of the bright lights in the world, helping others feel less fear and uncertainty. That’s a story worth creating and focusing upon as often as you can.
And I do know for sure that more things to appreciate will flow in, that you will enjoy your life much more, and that you will contribute to the solution for all of us. That is what expecting things to work out for you feels like, and it’s the very best place you can be, especially in times that might be considered uncertain.
